Monitor blood ketone levels accurately at home with FreeStyle Optium blood β-ketone test strips. Built for in vitro diagnostic use, they suit both self-testing and clinical use, and work across the FreeStyle Optium Neo, FreeStyle Optium, Optium Xceed, and Optium meters.

No coding step before testing — go straight from strip to result. Each strip is individually foil-wrapped to protect against air and moisture, so accuracy holds until the moment you use it.

Testing is fast: a 1.5 µl blood sample gives a result in 10 seconds, and the strip's fill-trigger only starts the test once enough blood has been applied, cutting down on wasted strips. Top-fill or end-fill application gives a visual confirmation as you go.

NEVER reuse Test Strips. NEVER wipe Test Strips with water, alcohol, or any cleaner. DO NOT attempt to remove blood or control sample from Test Strips or clean Test Strips and reuse. Reuse of Test Strips will cause inaccurate results.

Do not use out-of-date test strips. Check the expiry date printed on the test strip box and on every test strip foil packet. If only the year and month are printed on the test strip, then the expiry date is the last day of the month. Do not use a test strip that is wet or damaged.
